Apparently Spanish is a language adapted from Latin, but affected in dialect by the Moors, Arabs who occupied these lands for hundreds of years around the 11th Century. First the Portuguese rose up and expelled the Moors into the sea from whence they came and created their own state and own language of course. Then Castille and Aragon rose up driving the Moors from Granada, where their architectural evidence can still be seen.
Hispania then Catalunya, originally populated by the Celts, conquered by the Romans after incursions by the Phoenicians ad Carthaginians, then given by the crumbling Western Roman Empire to the Visigoths, it is no wonder that the language is complicated, especially when they speak at Warp Factor 10 and all over each other at decibel levels that the Noise Abatement Society would have a field day with, enough for a Conference !!
Apart from the language barrier, they have a custom of deducting money from the bank account and then several days later they might send you a bill about what the F**k is that on my on line statement. Fortunately, though Google translate cannot cope an email to Susanah in my bank clarifies the situation...2 word answer "water bill".
And that brings me nicely onto the weather forecast, as Susan heads for England for a month to see her family. Water, well rain, not falling on plains or anywhere around here. I felt some drops falling on my head this morning, but no need for an umbrella when we sleep in the desert tonight with a million stars all around.
Yes its a peaceful easy feeling all this sun
think I'll go and kill some flies......................................
we dont get this , just a water bill
For the full side of this double album, Concerto for a Rainy Day........ Non
