Jardin

A blend of English and Spanish plants. Most English plants thrive on being 1,000 miles south in the sun, though I do water them ever other night. The herbiscus plants with trumpet flowers can be bought in England, but here they are vibrant and bigger, and the size impresses, so I guess that matters. Exotic indoor plants in England like the outdoors here. I had some minor casualties transporting them in the van and replanting them, but really the true benefit will be spring next year, to see the true picture.

WE do have a local micro climate here surrounded by water and edging against low mountains, so most of any cloud formations blowing in from the Mediterranean, skirt round our town of Torrevieja. That means rain is minimal, though Autumn and Winter may be a different story. The soil is sandy clay. So bringing Peterborough earth around the uprooted plants and some compost, will hopefully alter that barren soil. There were a few bushes and trees here before Allan..........but not much and not much to give us a bit of privacy against the balustrades all 140 of them, I painted them out and I painted them in.

Some houses, flats here have smaller yards, or balconies. Some Spaniards pave and tile all their exterior, which is sacrilege. So this one is more plentiful than almost all the rest, maybe next year it will be simply the best better than all the rest.
